Founding Principal
Founding Principal Martin Needle, AIA and Chief Operations Officer, has extensive experience and the subsequent “lessons learned” in an array of projects, both new and renovations, assisting the team in making the responsible and best choices.
Martin has served as Architect for diverse projects for higher education, commercial, faith-based, transportation projects, municipalities and institutional office facilities. He is perceptive to site conditions and style varies as per the client’s needs and requirements. Keeping projects within budget, best quality, exciting, beautiful, and on a human scale are important issues to Martin.
Martin has received awards from the American Institute of Architecture for outstanding Architectural design for the Texas Department of Transportation El Paso District Headquarters and The Pebble Hills Regional Police Command.

Saul Valentin
Founding Principal
Saul Valentin Chief Executive Officer and Founding Principal at Collaborate, is involved with all facets of the business. Saul is a true leader at heart, he leads with a hands-on approach overseeing finances, marketing, business development, and administration. He has been involved with more than a billion square feet of architectural projects globally.
Saul is said to be an excellent leader not only within the organization and amongst his peers. Saul is actively involved in the community with a true willingness to make a positive impact. He currently serves on the executive board of Buffalo Bayou Parks, is Chairman of AVANCE and immediate past chairman of the Lone Star College Foundation board and serves on the advisory board of Scenic Houston.
Today, Saul’s focus is on developing Village Center, a large P3 economic development in Jersey Village. Located on 290 and Beltway 8 in the City of Jersey Village, an Office, Multi-Family, Retail, Civic, and Hospitality.

Dwayne Mollard, AIA
Principal
With over 40 years of architectural experience Principal Dwayne Mollard, AIA, has been involved in all phases of the design process. Dwayne’s extensive experience and profound attention for detail brings a unique perspective to each project. In most cases, he will anticipate issues before they become problems and he enjoys working with each client to produce aesthetically pleasing projects. The knowledge Dwayne has acquired throughout his career allows him to challenge design norms leading to forward-thinking results.

Caveh Masum, AIA
Principal
Caveh Masum has 16 years of architectural design experience, and throughout his career has successfully completed projects of many types with construction costs that total over a billion dollars.. As Principal and Architectural Practice Leader at Collaborate he leads the firm’s client development efforts and ensures the design quality of pre-planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration activities for projects of every size and scope. Caveh graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and studied French urban design at the Centre d’Etude d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme in Saintes, France.

David Kaczynski
Principal
Principal David Kaczynski, Leads the Project Management division of Collaborate and provides project management services on capital construction programs and individual projects. David’s primary service is to provide building and business owners a truly dedicated team of professional project managers who are singularly focused on representing “only” our client’s best interests when delivering projects on schedule, within budget and in a manner that meets the functional and other specific needs of our clients.

Ron Valentin
Principal
San Antonio Principal Ron Valentin, counts with over 18 years of experience in the civil engineering industry, and he is well versed in the areas of acquisition, client interface, design development, construction management, financial reporting, business development, team building and team leadership in both private and public sector.

Chris Kay, AICP, ACHE
Principal
Chris leads Collaborates development activities across select asset classes including healthcare, wellness and mixed use, lifestyle facilities. He has over 32 years of commercial real estate, development, urban planning, design, and construction experience – specializing in the healthcare academic research markets for over 2 decades.
Chris began his carrier at Philip Johnson / Burgee Architects. Kay’s background includes strong, finance and project delivery experience having served in various leadership roles both as an architect, builder, and development manager, with some of the nation’s leading design, construction, and real-estate development firms including JLL, Hammes Development, Jacobs Engineering, and Turner Construction. Kay joined Collaborate directly from JLL in Houston, Texas, where he was the managing principal leading a national capital planning and development practice. Prior to JLL Kay served as president and COO. of Hammes co. one of nations leading healthcare developers for over a decade.
Chris is a member of the American and International Institute of Architects.(IAIA) and an experienced real-estate professional, developer, builder, and Urban planner, certified with the American Institute of City Planners.(AICP), the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and American College of Healthcare Executives and Engineers respectively (ACHE, ASHE).
