Cypress Satellite Center

To serve the student population more effectively, Lone Star College (LSC) provides Satellite Centers in remote areas from the main campuses.  The scope of work was to program, design and document a prototype for a Satellite Center in three separate locations including Conroe that would be a stand-alone facility providing classroom space, science labs, computer labs, and learning commons. Space for workforce curriculum such as welding, and machining will also be provided.  Besides the administrative and faculty offices, support for student interaction with the college includes registration, counseling, testing, tutoring spaces, and cashiers.

To enhance their experience, students have designated seating areas throughout the facility and break areas for study, relaxation and eating.  Furthermore, these study and relaxation areas extend to the exterior.
